Custom Apparel Is Truly Custom

Custom screenprinted apparel can be compared to baking a cake. You can’t get a slice of cake without baking the whole cake. When any screenprinted design is printed on apparel, there is a multi-stage process required. First the digital design must be created. Then that design must be output onto specialized film. Then that film must be burned onto a screen which previously required an emulsification process along with dry time. An emulsified and dried screen is required for EACH color being printed. After the image is burned onto the appropriate mesh screen, the screen is taped off to avoid unnecessary ink patterns. Then each taped screen is carefully loaded onto the automated press. Then each screen is lined up to match one another. Then each screen is loaded with the proper inks. Then the press is set in motion and some test prints are required to see if the design is properly lined up. Then once the print is approved for production, actual production begins. Each garment is printed separately with wet, uncured plastisols. Once printed, each garment undergoes a curing process in a gas dryer at about 350 degrees. Each garment is accounted for and the press operator is notified that the order is complete. Once the order is completed, the press must be broken down. Screens must be de-inked, de-taped, de-emulsified and reclaimed for the next job. They cannot be inventoried for future use. It's too expensive and consumes too much space. As you can see, screenprinting is a lot more complicated than pushing a button. Screenprinting is both materials and labor intensive. Even printing one shirt can be likened to the desire for just one piece of cake. You still have to bake the whole cake to get one slice! There is no way around the process. That’s why we recommend Order Insurance with every order.

WHAT'S MY INVESTMENT?

What is it costing you in time, energy and bottom line to not have the right solution for custom apparel? What is it costing you each time you have to get another bid from another company only to find out they couldn’t give you the pricing you need? What is it costing you to work with someone who might not be able to deliver to you on time or give you the right design and shirt options? The wrong company may already be costing you plenty.
